Stroll anemone-studded pastures in January. Witness the season unfolding throughout February. Note the resident and winter-visiting bird-life and marvel at the incredible diversity of emergent flowers.

The beginning of March, and already swallows and great spotted cuckoos are here. We discover sixteen species of orchids in the region's varied habitats and become aware of a steady trickle of northbound migrants passing through the island.

April and the receding wetlands host passage waterfowl, waders, egrets and ibis. Migration reaches its peak and still the countryside is clothed in a breath-taking array of flora.
May - and once more Spring gives way to Summer.
