"Azure wings in the dog's bowl" captures the natural beauty of the spectacular steppe and dehesa landscapes and associated birdlife of the unspoilt Spanish province of Extremadura.

We search for bustards, sandgrouse and harriers of the wild grassland plains. Get to grips with impressive raptors, breeding black storks and other mountain species of Monfrague National Park. Savour rollers, shrikes, hoopoes of the cork oak woodland and study the white storks and lesser kestrels which grace medieval Trujillo.

As well as the wonderful Springtime images the film reveals Winter scenes of flocking bustards, choughs and over-wintering cranes in their thousands.
